I produced stories for the Durham College Chronicle in my time as a journalism student. I covered a wide range of topics from crime to sports and everything in-between.

I oversaw the Twitter account for the Durham College Chronicle newspaper. I was in charge of producing original tweets that informed students as well as promoted the stories published on the Chronicle website.Additionally, I read through Twitter and retweeted news that I deemed relevant to the hundreds of followers the account had.

I wrote a monthly column highlighting local events and organizations. I've had to research various topics in-depth, contact members of the community for interviews and find a way to bring it all back to one central theme for a brief news story. This has been a rewarding and educational placement so far this summer, looking forward to doing more of what I love.
