The Big Exact is a concrete production machine produced by Austrian based company, Schlusselbauer. Range of products include: reinforced and non-reinforced concrete pipes, manhole cones, catch basins, monolithic barrels, and conical tops. - Integral part of installation team for the Big Exact. Transitioned the machine from 20-90% automated. - Responsible for both routine and preventative maintenance (conduct routine checks a minimum of every 100 hours). Also troubleshoot equipment for the Big Exact machine including but not limited to the batching system, belts, hydraulic lines, compressors, and robots. Repair or replace defective parts. - Inventory cement, fly ash and replacement parts. Liasie with Schlusselbauer support when repair issues are escalated.- Regulate mixer batching system, ensuring the proper ratios of aggregate, cement, fly ash and water. - Manage rigging and hoisting duties. - Trouble shooting of PLC'S and hydraulic systems- Supervise a production team ranging from 2-5. This includes: training, coaching and mentoring junior staff, upholding safety standards, etc.- Hold regular Toolbox meetings twice a month. During these meetings I: review items covered during prior meetings, ensure safety standards are being upheld, cover off general housekeeping issues, and solicit employee input.- Maintain daily progress logs and document procedure. - Test equipment. - Operate crane and forklift when shorthanded.- Liaise with upper management and contractors including: machinists, welders, electricians and plumbers.
