From Small-Town Dreams to a Career in Hospitality and MarketingGrowing up in a small town in North Carolina, I was captivated by the magic of Disney. Visiting the parks as a child wasn’t just a fun vacation—it inspired me to dream big. In 2017, I brought that dream to life through the Disney College Program, my first "real job" and a leap into living independently. At the time, I was pursuing an AAS in Human Services Technology, driven by my passion for helping others and understanding what makes people tick.That first role in housekeeping was humbling and transformative. I gained immense respect for the unsung heroes of hospitality and learned how every role contributes to creating memorable guest experiences—a perspective that has shaped every position I’ve held, from solving guest concerns at the front desk to optimizing operations behind the scenes.Over the years, I’ve grown into leadership roles across Disney Parks and Resorts, discovering my love for storytelling, problem-solving, and connecting with people. Working for Disney helped me overcome social anxiety, giving me the confidence to engage with others in ways I never imagined. Today, mental health advocacy remains deeply personal to me, and I’m passionate about fostering environments where everyone feels supported, whether it’s other Cast Members, Guests, or the people I meet along the way.Now, I’m combining my hospitality experience with new skills in marketing and project management, pursuing my degree through Disney Aspire.
