It seems that the term “jack of all trades, master of none” is often used in a derogatory manner; I like to wear it as a badge of honor. During my academic and professional career, my projects have spanned everything from analyzing fuel flow in a 13.5L diesel engine to designing a novel bracing system capable of preventing cervical spine injuries in athletes. From automating a bio-gas conditioner to optimizing the acquisition and processing of medical imaging methods. I can whip up a product design using CAD software, model complex systems using MATLAB and Python or setup, capture and analyze data from an IR motion tracking system. You name it; I’ve probably done it or something like it. If not, one of my best qualities is my ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge at a high level. This skill is vital for engineers and scientists in an increasingly interconnected and interdisciplinary world.
