I served a one-year term as the Public Relations Director of a student run free clinic designed to serve the under-insured population in our local community. Duties included organizing and executing bi-annual fundraising events, elevating public awareness of the organization through various local health fairs, directing weekly clinic operations, triaging patients, and assisting in grant acquisitions. I also served a separate role as a student physician; examining and formulating treatment plans for patients as well as training other medical students in physical exam skills.

Starting out providing undergound tours to visitors from all around the world, I was quickly advanced to a role as an operations assistant manager. I was responsible for overseeing the safety of all staff and visitors underground while managing tour visit time schedules by simultaneously communicating with the managers above ground. I was frequently challenged with orchestrating guest experiences underground with limited staff and was entrusted with the safe operation a $6.5 million hoist. I also performed various maintenance and improvement projects underground. The success of engineering and constructing an underground railroad attraction with extremely limited resources and strict mining regulations as a team leader was my biggest accomplishment.
