Travis balances his time between Missouri and Washington, DC matters where SCC can help their clients grow.

501 C4 Social Welfare organization with a mission to grow the Missouri economy. In 2018-2019, Grow Missouri, Inc was hired by the City of Saint Louis, Missouri government to explore a long-term lease option before the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)'s airport investment partnership program. The Grow Missouri coalition formally recruited more than one dozen professional global infrastructure responses. The City ultimately chose to abandon the Lambert Saint Louis International Airport process, similar to efforts that stalled before the Chicago Midway airport. The community process did confirm a $1 billion in unmet local capital improvement needs, the availability of more than $50 billion in targeted airport financing across the financial sector, and the need for competitive rates and gates with local airline partners such as Southwest Airlines and American Airlines. Prior statewide campaigns deployed by Grow Missouri involved a grassroots media tour with the largest non-rigid airship (blimp) company. The eventual success of Grow Missouri lead to a successful veto (Governor Jay Nixon) override vote by the Missouri State Legislature, creating the first meaningful state income tax cut in 96 years.

Created a broad public and government affairs agency from a two person to a thirty-two person, eight figure revenue organization, with more than a dozen related social welfare charities, brands, and organizations. Hosted, managed, and directed for fourteen years the political and legislative branding for Rex and Jeanne Sinquefield on state, federal, local, and Missouri and Saint Louis City ballot initiatives. Built and operated a multimedia studio for daily local television (three years, ABC News Saint Louis), radio (various), and custom digital media promotions (various). Representative clients included Cisco Systems, Amazon, Koch Industries, Sinclair Broadcast Group, and Heartland Hyperloop, Inc. A special events partnership, Line Up a Legend, LLC, hosted many Major League Baseball Cardinal Hall of Famers such as Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, Stan Musial, Whitey Herzog, and Tony LaRussa. The Brentwood tower banquet space, known as Vue17, once hosted more than 150 annual events and broadcast productions. By managing other national ballot access vendors, the ballot teams collected and certified nearly two million Missouri citizen signatures between 2010 and 2020.

Created a diversified multi-client state lobbying portfolio in the process of partner acquisition growth (once Gaines, Brown, & Callahan, LLC, then Gaines Brown Consulting, LLC). Key clients included the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club, the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club, the Truman Sports Complex, the Missouri Society of Anesthesiologists, Southwestern Bell, and the Monsanto Company.

Represented corporate issues and interests across 15 states, managing nine contract lobby firms, across the agricultural, biotechnology, food, & pharmaceutical sectors. Project experience included state economic development/tax credits, intellectual property rights, biotechnology awareness, and drug regulation.

Spent one summer in crop production; marketing within their Central Regions across Illinois (1993). Interned another summer (1994) in West Des Moines, IA for State & Local Government Affairs, lobbying across Midwest and New Mexico on environmental and U.S. Department of the Interior matters. Then, was stationed in New Jersey, then Washington, DC back in sales for their Specialty Products Department (13 states, $4M territory). Earned Freshman Salesman Representative of the Year by Howard Minigh across the Northeast United States.

Created during the civil rights movement, and funded by student book fees at the land grant University book store, the Associated Students of the University of Missouri (A.S.U.M.) was the student body's state and federal legislative voice to all appropriations and student rights issues. Travis worked part-time on student affairs before the Board of Curators, along with State Appropriations line items.
