CurrentDatabase Support:> Ensure that database backups for Disaster Recover (DR) are both taken and tested on a scheduled basis.> Ensure that High-Availability (HA) configuration is stable and tested on a scheduled basis.> Ensure that SSIS functionality for scheduled tasks run smoothly and continue to be improved over time. > Monitor key production databases on a constant basis to ensure that downtime is avoided and minimized if it occurs.> Work to improve database performance with data optimization through the use of indexes and more efficient database structure. > Ensure that each database developer has a full work queue and is helped through any issues that arise. > Work with each database developer to ensure that they are satisfied and are able to grow in their roles to better both them and the company.DevOps Support:> Ensure that database development runs smooth with source control, pull requests, and other support software.> Ensure that servers and non-database backups are all tracked and backed up. This is a shared responsibility with DevOps.Internal User Support:> Be aware of and manage high-priority internal software bugs that may cause time loss with billing work.> Create new/improved functionality that reduces user interaction time for a given task. The goal is to always improve efficiency and accuracy for time-consuming processes of bill analysis and bill generation work.> Help plan long-term system improvements through internal discussions with stakeholders. External User Support:> Represent the role of technical specialist on customer calls for projects.> Perform the role of project manager for key technical projects. Perform the development tasks for those projects or assign that work as required by the level of difficulty of the project.
