I currently work on Battery Enclosures as a Product Team Lead for General Motors. I enjoy roles in additive manufacturing, design and analysis. Going through the EEDP and getting my Masters in Mechanical engineering required an abundant amount of teamwork and time as I was working with various teams in my positions and with other students on assignments.While working part time through my college experience at Michigan State University, I also fit in five internships and a study abroad at the University of Edinburgh. In my internships I was able to explore the company and find where I fit best. At Edinburgh, I was able to take advance courses about the energy field to develop a better understanding of energy solutions especially alternative energy. These opportunities help me grow in many ways and to better develop my career goals. I am truly passionate about my work and in technology advancement. I enjoy most aspects of my work especially knowing that I am assisting in solving needs of the world. My favorite aspect is the collaborative iterative process in which ideas flow and grow into solutions. Ensuring that assignments are completed before deadlines is very important to me as well as valuing everyone's input on an assignment to reach the best solution.In my free time I enjoy reading articles of scientific work and discoveries. I also listen to podcasts such as On Point, Planet Money, Ted x, etc...I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MSU and I have completed a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.I am interested in hearing from colleagues, managers, or others with the same passions as myself, I am welcome to all new connections and you can feel free to contact me at TravisJPacker@gmail.com.
