I understand the company mission, identify my team's role in that mission, and I leverage our talent to fulfill that role. I handle many of the responsibilities for the training of the Detachment with a focus on fielding over $1M worth of equipment. To maintain full mission capability, I must be intimate with emerging technologies. This is due to the necessity of field expedient employment that often requires time sensitive operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvisation. The nature of Special Forces requires constant analysis in all aspects of my trade so I may provide the Operations Manager timely advice and assistance in the decision-making process within an incredibly fast paced, ever-changing environment. I also ensure that security requirements are exceeded through cross-functional team collaboration and effective communication.Notable accomplishments: -Under a strict timeline, devised, implemented, and supervised the transfer of $40M of equipment and 126 service members overseas. Resulted in 100% accountability and minimal degradation. -Primary trainer for advanced marksmanship resulting in a 90% graduation rate in a physically and mentally demanding pre-deployment course. -Educated 47 international colleagues in the use of personal protective equipment, emerging technologies, and special tactics during emergency scenario exercises. These included perimeter defense and active shooter events, which increased their proficiency by over 30%. -During the Joint Multinational Readiness Center exercise, Allied Spirit, led cross functional and cross-cultural patrols that resulted in the strategic destruction of enemy logistics operations, reducing their effectiveness by 45%.

As an Army certified instructor, I routinely taught classes with 15-300 people in classroom and field environments. I would collaborate on classroom lesson plans that followed an analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation model. I demonstrated various effective management techniques for both classroom and field instruction. These included but were not limited to adult learning styles, learning theories, Bloom’s taxonomy, and formal/informal evaluation techniques. Some of these techniques used audio/visual aids in a controlled environment but the majority were conducted in real time practical exercises. I adapted the strong interpersonal skills needed to counsel methods of self-development on an individual basis. I would tap into emotional intelligence so I could relate to students on a personal level because I was once in their boots. With every failure or success, I would help them to analyze sequence of events, question the thought process, listen to their points of view, and discuss the pros/cons of each scenario. Often, I learned as much as I taught. Notable accomplishments:-Selected above 36 colleagues as Instructor of the Cycle three times earning the trust of superiors, peers, and students. -Trusted to be the primary trainer of junior instructors directly supporting the “train and produce world class cadre” Deputy Director’s philosophy. Maintained status of top performing cadre unit. -Directly enhanced the syllabus of the training program resulting in the student graduation percentage to increase by 18%.

When I was a crew member on an Abrams tank, I performed duties as a driver when I was lower enlisted, and I was a gunner when I became a Non-Commissioned Officer. As a driver I was responsible for preventative maintenance on the vehicle, handling the communications equipment and ensuring it was ready for missions. When I became a gunner, I was responsible for overseeing the driver and loader operationally and administratively. Engaging targets with the main gun and attached machine guns was my mission responsibility and I maintained them as well. My entire journey as a tanker emphasized maintenance, combat readiness, and the responsibility of ensuring new members to the platoon were trained. I had the respect of my superiors to the point where I was always on the crew to teach the least experienced tank commander (the lieutenant) and was promoted to serve on the tank of the company commander, which was important to me as a lower enlisted soldier.
