Beginning my career working as a Night Auditor, to my current role as a Director, Sales & Marketing, it is the experience gained from each role in between that has made me the strong leader that I am today. In 2014, I was awarded Leader of the Year within my hotel and was a Finalist for Director, Revenue Management of the Year throughout all Starwood properties in North America between 300-550 rooms. With 157 guest rooms and 20,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, the Carriage House Hotel is one of the longest standing hotels in all of Calgary.Key Accomplishments:• Leading member of the hotel Executive Team.• One of the only hotels in South Calgary that was able to navigate through the COVID Pandemic, remaining open to the public throughout its entirety.• Achieved record guest room financial & service related measurements in 2022, again in 2023, and are on pace to exceed those figures in 2024. This has been accomplished through activating many different strategies in a variety of market segments.• Implemented a Guest Relationship & Marketing system to better communicate and understand guest needs/trends, as well as focus on increasing targeted marketing campaigns. • Designed & assisted in driving aggressive strategy to increase hotels online reputation/reviews. Achieved a growth of 77% in online reviews from 2019-2023. We were also able to increase the hotel TripAdvisor rank from #56 in January 2021 to #13 in July 2024.• Assisted in designing renovation plans, and managed property through two phases of guest room renovations. With 323 rooms and 10,000 sq ft of meeting space the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire is the leading hotel in the Calgary marketplace.For the entirety of 2017, with the absence of a Director of Sales & Marketing, I was solely responsible for leading the direction of the Sales & Catering/Marketing teams. We surpassed all financial targets, as well as achieved 100% in Colleague Engagement in S&C and Reservations for the first time in the 20-year history of the hotel.In 2018, I was largely responsible for leading all aspects of the Marriott Integration process through the Loyalty & Guest Review programs, as well as the RD1 phase.
