• Co-authored a 35-page study comparing the growth of U.S. exports to free trade agreement partners and the rest of the world that became the subject of a New York Times article• Overhauled database of Trade Adjustment Assistance applications by writing a program in R to remove duplicate records and identify the congressional district of each workplace• Submitted technical comments for a proposed study by the U.S. International Trade Commission and subsequently was invited to participate in a Commission roundtable on quantifying the economic effects of trade agreements• Responsible for analyzing large amounts of data, including translation of labor and agricultural data across geographic units, using and building industrial sector concordance tables, and presenting quantitative information to laypeople through tables, charts, and prose• Developed expertise in complex methodological issues such as re-export data and CGE models

• Conducted research and helped implement media strategy for the Global Economy Program's 16th annual “Executive Excess” report that details excessive executive compensation at the top 20 TARP recipients, its consequences, and appropriate policy recommendations• Examined the effect of excessive executive compensation on systemic risk to the financial system, collected layoff data from news sources, and helped establish research methodology

• Created a 35-page report with 12 graphs that projected CAFTA’s effects on agricultural commodity prices in Guatemala and recommended measures to help farmers successfully handle them • Translated the report to Spanish and gave a 1.5-hour presentation of the findings in Spanish • Collected information from 76 sources including the UN Commodity Trade Statistics Database, FAOSTAT, World Bank reports, academic journal articles, and interviews

• Taught Kenyan students how to use Microsoft Windows, Word, and Internet Explorer• Organized 3 workshops on the legal rights of domestic workers in the slum areas of Nairobi• Wrote a grant to the US Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund for the purchase of additional vocational training equipment

• Comprehensively reviewed the literature and FAOSTAT data on NAFTA’s effects on Mexico, analyzed the findings, and wrote a 5-page internal briefing note to further inform Oxfam’s policy on regional trade agreements• Collaborated with staff in gathering and analyzing information about biofuels to write a 10-page document on recommendations on how Oxfam should approach the biofuel issue in the 2007 Farm Bill• Located original US government documents on Cambodia’s debt to the US

• Conducted research for reports on NAFTA job losses in specific congressional districts, results of deals that members of Congress made for votes on trade bills, and CAFTA’s predicted effects on the candy industry • Coordinated logistics such as bus booking, space rental, and catering for a “lobby day” against CAFTA
