A born and raised Calgarian, with a wealth of experience in Calgarys recreation Industry. I now find myself on a new path as a aspiring Software Developer. I'm currently enrolled in the software development program at SAIT. The program focuses on concepts such as Object Orientated programming and the SDLC methodology. During my time at SAIT I've been able to gain valuable experience working with languages such as Java, HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, and PL/SQL. I've also been able to develop many full stack applications, using the MERN stack, and also Python/Django. I completed my first post secondary education in 2015 from Mount Royal University, receiving my Bachelor of Business and Entrepreneurship in Sport and Recreation. Through my education I have developed numerous skills and knowledge in the area of business in recreation. I have shown that I'm able to work well independently, or in group environment. Excellent time management, and organization skills are some of the most important skills that have led me to be a successful student. I aspire to motivate Canadians to an active life, starting with organized minor hockey. I grew up playing minor hockey, so I understand the value it can have on a child's life. I have completed two 450 hour practicums for my education, both of them focusing on minor hockey development. I'm passionate about sport and recreation, and a firm believer in the benefits it can have on an individual. This belief is what motivates me to work within the sport and recreation industry.
