As the Vice President Research and Development I'm responsible for leading the device design and quality assurance teams to develop industry leading medical grade wearables that enable remote patient monitoring to improve patient outcomes and save people's lives.

As the VP of Engineering at Orpyx® my primary responsibility is the realization of the technology that powers Orpyx's industry pioneering wearable devices. Orpyx wearable devices require a comprehensive technology stack ranging from advanced pressure sensors and embedded systems to big data and machine learning, all of which are designed and supported by Orpyx employees. During my tenure at Orpyx, I have overseen and contributed to all aspects of the development of a number of trial and commercial devices including the SurroSense Rx®, the SurroGati Rx and Orpyx LogR™ with my proudest moment being the completion of a three year clinical trial of the SurroSense Rx® that demonstrated a 71% reduction in the rate of ulceration for people with diabetes. My other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:• Developing a long term technology strategy and focus for new applications and products.• Creating a positive and exciting work environment where people can excel and everybody counts.• Define project strategy, management and resource allocation.• Identify and establish relationships with technology suppliers.• Work with other company verticals, such as Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory and Operations to execute on corporate initiatives.• Oversee the implementation of engineering processes that are compatible with ISO 13485 and other regulatory requirements.

Kinetyx’s sensory insoles' unique form factor and world-leading research grade sensor technology, allow it to measure human activity out in the real world to power a broad range of performance and readiness insights that have never before been possible.

As the applications development manager my primary responsibility was to ensure the engineering team delivered quality products to our customers, which included three of the four top companies in medical imaging space. I was responsible for a team of 10 direct reports with roles ranging from developer to build and tools specialist. Regular activities included but were not limited to the following:• Working closely with Product Management and Sales to evaluate potential business opportunities and determine the technical feasibility of projects.• Engineering resource planning and allocation.• Customer support activities.• Ensuring development adheres to engineering practices and processes.• Defining development practices.• Providing leadership and mentoring to development team members.• Recruiting activities.• Employee performance management.

As the ResolutionMD Tech Lead, I was responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of a cross functional agile team of seven to ten people tasked with building the ResolutionMD product. As Tech Lead I was the interface for all the external project stake holders (Product Management, End Customers, Operations and Sales). The following list details some of my day to day responsibilities and notable accomplishments:• Oversaw development of the largest custom engineering projects ever undertaken by CSI, which consisted of the re-branding customization of our flagship product for a top 3 OEM in the imaging space. • Helped define/improve engineering practices.• Ensured adherence to agile development methodology.• Worked with all project stakeholders to ensure delivery of a high quality solution that met stakeholder expectations.• Interfaced with customers on a weekly basis.• Worked with the team to propose estimates for tasks.

As a Software Developer I worked as part of a cross functional agile team on a number of different products. As a developer I was able to work across all parts of the product technology stack. Listed below are some of my responsibilities and notable accomplishments:• Architected and implemented cinematic mechanism in less than a week.• Develop product ready features during sprint iterations.• Writing unit tests.• Worked in both the server(C++) and client(Flex) to implement features• Ensured adherence to agile development methodology.• One of key contributors/designers of the DICOM framework.

As a software engineer at Marvell I was the sole driver developer for Marvell’s WiMAX mobile chipset. Driver development targeted both the Windows and Linux operating systems with the target platforms ranging from PCs to cell phone development platforms (embedded systems). In addition to driver development I was also responsible for application and some firmware development and debugging. Below is a summary of my accomplishments and responsibilities.• Driver development for both Windows Vista (PC) and Linux (PC, Embedded Platform) for various device interfaces (USB SDIO).• Implemented WiMAX features in both the driver and firmware.• Debugged the SDIO interface during chip bring up.• Implemented a proprietary API and Library to control the device.• Designed and Implemented a GUI device manager (Linux PC).• Created a simulation of the mobile station FW and Driver.• Ported VOIP software to the cell phone development platform.

As a software engineer at INTEL my role was to develop and support software for INTEL’s cell phone platform solution. The software components for which I was responsible abstracted the protocol stack interface to an INTEL proprietarily API in a multicore implementation.
