Brand marketing and communications focused on higher education.

Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for print and web products such as websites, emails, social media, and catalogs targeting internal and external audiences for higher education clients.

I developed and maintained web properties, developed holistic web and content strategy for the entirety of GIMG's external and internal audiences, and lead development of content marketing for social media, other owned properties, and collateral. I primarily supported the marketing of Goodwill of Middle Georgia's mission, but also provide support to the higher education, hospitality, and work force development businesses as needed.

I developed and maintained the official Morehouse College website and all other web-related initiatives, including social media. In this role, I built pages and sites across multiple subdomains and provided ongoing content edits and design updates. As web manager, I planned and reviewed the site architecture for new projects, features, optimization, and content strategy. I worked closely with other marketing and admissions teams and the college to provide analytics data and appropriate functionality for their areas across the college. I also configured and monitored servers and site technical performance and tested and tracked issues.

Partnered with Academic Affairs to showcase the talents, great work, and thought leadership of 200 full-time faculty on morehouse.edu.

Managed project payroll and vendor relationships for construction projects across Texas. Analyzed work processes to research and implement new software solutions for accounting, timekeeping and information storage for a distributed workforce across the United States.

Managed and executed public and media relations initiatives (events, policy announcements, special projects) and crisis communication for SCAD’s domestic and international campuses on numerous social media channels.Worked with PR agencies to develop marketing campaigns for brand events around the world.Wrote, edited, proofread or coded email, press releases, ad copy, contracts, executive policy documents, accreditation reports and other material.​

Managed editorial components of media and public relations projects ranging from writing and coding weekly student and faculty email newsletters for SCAD’s domestic and international campuses to print collateral for large public events like the Savannah Film Festival.Wrote, edited and proofread print and Web content including social media posts, posters, newsletters, blog posts, press releases, book-length accreditation reports, annual reports and more. Worked with subject matter experts in areas such as interior design or film to convey their technical message to SCAD’s general audiences.Served as liaison between engineers and non-technical stakeholders and managed content during the ground-up rebuild of the Webby-nominated scad.edu that launched in June 2013.

Lead the daily operation and long-term strategy of District and District Quarterly, managed a permanent editorial staff and volunteer staff.I mentored writers and staff by coaching them individually on writing and editing their own work, how to interview people, and prepare stories for our audience. I also led quarterly workshops for staff and volunteers.Additionally, I traveled to media conferences and spoke at the ACP/CMA National College Media Convention in New York in 2010 on transitioning from print to Web.
