In my time with Mankin Media Systems, I have worked in a variety of capacities. I began as a field technician, traveling around the country to help with several installations for the company. My chief duties as a field technician involved terminating connections, ranging from multi-channel XLR snakes, multipoint patch bays for both audio and video, BNC connectors, to RJ-45 network connections. Additional tasks I was often assigned were hanging P.A. Systems, Projectors, and L.E.D. video walls. After over a year of traveling, I transitioned in to drawing schematics for the systems that were installed. My firsthand knowledge of the needs of the deploy team aided in my ability to draft highly detailed, accurate drawings given the specifications laid out. As my skills in Auto CAD increased, I began taking my vast knowledge of audio systems (and growing knowledge of video and lighting systems) and began designing systems.I now work hand in hand with the sales team to make sure their proposals and budgets are inline with system capacities and clients needs, working on projects ranging from $10,000 to $2.8 million. With Mankin, I enjoy our company’s desire to innovate and offer each new client the latest and greatest video, audio and lighting options. I have take it upon myself to become our company’s Dante champion, which has allowed us to design cutting edge Dante systems for our clients, giving them the most flexible and easy to use systems, before many other integrators began to even experiment with Dante. My previous experience as a deployed field technician, and audio engineer give me the perspective on how to meet or exceed our clients expectations. This previous experience also helps me contribute to our teams ability to deliver not only a great product but also exceedingly great service.

Taking my previous experience as an audio engineer and studio manager, I created my own business in the music industry, leading my clients with technical and production needs. I have wired and installed numerous recording consoles (wiring from the patchbay to the console, as well as integrating the console to the already in place house wiring), expanded headphone systems, and created custom solutions for clients ranging from commercial studios, private studios to houses of worship to coffee houses.I also have used my production and audio engineering skills facilitate every aspect of complex recording sessions, from charting the songs, to booking the players, to setting up the technical equipment, to getting sounds, to running the session, to mixing, as well as collaborating with other industry professionals in single aspects of recording sessions. Retrofitted an entire commercial recording facility with new wiring, new console and new outboard equipment. Worked with numerous clients as audio engineer and producer, including Lulu Mae, Alvin Love. Managed facility budget for renovations, day to day operations and promotion.

I came on with the facility as an intern, with studio maintenance, recording session setup, operation and tear down. Within 6 months, I was hired as the house assistant engineer, the client facing role for the studio, with the same duties as I had as an intern, with increased sole responsibility, as well as facilitating all client needs while they were in our space, from technical to personal.Over time, my role expanded to include studio management. I was responsible all aspects of the studio business, from studio bookings, billing and receivables, technical maintenance, as well as heading up the studio’s internship program.Clients include Amy Grant, Jonny Lang, tobyMac, Israel Houghton, Michael MacDonald, Matt Redman, Selah and many others.
