Directed the regional organizing efforts for Kamala Harris for President, while coordinating with Tim Kaine and Missy Cotter Smasal campaign leadership. Managed thirteen organizers to direct the Harris for President field plan. Synthesized the VA Victory Coordinated Field Plan with the DCCC field plan and oversaw rapid fold-in of two regional field programs in the middle of GOTV operations. Worked within a region congruent with the front-line top targeted Virginia's 2nd Congressional District. Regional partisan swings outperformed national and statewide partisan swings, including compared to other targeted Virginia Congressional Districts. Won battleground localities of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.

Directed the qualified voter petition organizing program in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Virginia's Eastern Shore, York, Poquoson, James City and Williamsburg for Tim Kaine’s Senate Re-election campaign in 2024. Recruited, trained and directed a grassroots volunteer circulation effort of 70+ volunteers. 26,000+ verified voter petition signatures collected statewide and 5,000+ verified voter petition signatures collected for Congressional Democratic incumbents. 3,500+ verified Kaine petition signatures collected within my regional turf efforts.

Was the highest performing district organizer in volunteer recruitment metrics. Directed and managed six university interns and paid fellows and trained interns and fellows on key organizing skills. Assisted Field Director with key tasks including but not limited to, managing and directing the Newport News campaign office operations, auditing and re-cutting canvassing turf packets, directing and managing key GOTV canvass launches, rallies and surrogate events, coordinating with and managing and directing canvassers from aligned organizing groups including Planned Parenthood Action VA, REPRO Rising VA, 31st Street Swing Left, Climate Cabinet Action and Silver Spring Progressive Action. Coordinated with community leaders from IAFF Local 2498 and VEA. Directed and managed staging locations for the last four weekends of the Election. Singularly directed and managed the highest trafficked staging location across Virginia on Election Day. Singularly directed and managed three passes of GOTV canvassing operations in the final four days in Newport News locality of the district (24 precincts), in coordination with canvassers from LCV and VEA.

Interfaced with voters directly in person through door knocking canvassing

Worked collaboratively with the Organizing Director and Deputy Organizing Director on field strategy. Directed and managed four deputy field organizers. Daily volunteer recruitment and daily direct voter engagement through canvassing and phone banking. Personally recorded 3,602 doors knocked during the campaign. Directed volunteer phone banks semi-weekly and directed and managed other volunteer events as needed. Promoted rapid civic engagement in a short-term special election cycle. Received historic turnout, recording the second highest turnout in a special election in Virginia history. Won a Senate District held by Republicans since 1991.

Was the singular campaign organizing staff working on the Eastern Shore. Responsible for daily volunteer recruitment for semiweekly weekend canvass launch events. Managed and directed all Eastern Shore weekend canvassing events; trained volunteers on script and data entry, tracked and managed volunteer progress and distribution of materials. Used creative strategies to expand organizing capacity and hyper-target density and vote intention to maximize canvassing utility with limited resources on rural density turf. Outpaced other districts and Virginia average in Early Voting totals; Early Voting rates were 141% higher in Northampton County than Virginia average, and 110% higher in Accomack County. Recruited at minimum 281 unique volunteer shifts, yielding at least 19,790 unique attempts to contact Eastern Shore voters. These volunteer shifts knocked 4,280 doors at minimum, and placed at least 9,098 calls to Eastern Shore voters. Reported daily to Deputy Organizing Director and/or Organizing Director, coordinated strategically at least one hour individually each week with Deputy Organizing Director.

Started as part-time seasonal due to schedule. Switched to full-time employment April 2020; entered management training program and was promoted. Received Food Manager Certification. Helped oversee daily management and semi-weekly distribution of produce and supplies, uphold daily compliance with food safety regulations, interact with local regulatory officials and oversee daily operations of stores.

Individually hosted, organized and led weekly “UMW for Bernie Sanders” organizing and strategy meetings. Recruited student volunteers and club members, trained them on relational organizing strategy and coordinated with students on relational organizing, trained student volunteers on door-to-door canvassing tactics and script then scheduled student volunteers to canvass student housing. Trained student volunteers on GOTV phone banking script and tactics and hosted and led events for student volunteers to phone bank to college students in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada. Hosted watch party events for debates and for election results in Iowa and New Hampshire. Met weekly with a campaign student organizing director to report the planned schedule and organizing progress.

Temporary Seasonal Employment

Volunteered on weekends with the campaign during Winter/Spring 2019, accepted a full-time organizing position at the conclusion of the University semester. Responsibilities included daily direct voter contact, daily volunteer recruitment, community event engagement, managing volunteer events semi-weekly and training volunteers on canvassing script, MiniVAN and direct voter engagement strategies.
