At Gemstone I supervised the work of freelance colorists & letterers, and assisted with the design, development and production of annual, monthly and bi-monthly comic books. In addition, I restored and retouched hundreds of pages of artwork for publication in archival collections (such as Mickey And The Gang: Classic Stories In Verse).Working with team members, I planned and executed various New Media marketing strategies (including b2c communication and promotion via Twitter, Facebook and Squidoo). I also became one of the "faces" of the company on various internet forums and mailing lists, receiving feedback from fans and addressing their questions and concerns in a semi-official capacity.

Knoxville, Tennessee Area

Split time between website maintenance and Accounts Receivable auditing. Independently redesigned the Knox County Finance Department website, as well as providing regular updates for Human Resources and Purchasing Division sites. Provided “first response” computer maintenance and troubleshooting services for fellow employees. Other duties included miscellaneous financial responsibilities, such as printing checks for vendors and making manual adjustments to the budget as requested.

Baltimore, Maryland Area

Served as a member of a four-person in-house web development team. Was personally responsible for providing regular maintenance and updates for the Diamond Comic Distributors and Baltimore Magazine websites. Worked alongside Diamond’s Marketing Director to create "The Diamond Bookshelf," a website designed to help libraries make educated and informed selections of graphic novels to add to their collections.
