About Travis Short, P.E.

Over the years commissioning and TAB have become my true passion. My love for BAS/BMS systems and mechanical & electrical systems truly blossomed into how I tackle system commissioning. All aspects of a building are dynamic from power, lighting, to A/C deserve intense overview and testing is require to ensure all systems operate as designed and intended. My job is to ensure they do!My affiliation with NEBB (National Environmental Balancing Bureau) has deepened over the years. I am now in my second year as an active NEBB TAB Committee member and active trainer for the NEBB CP test. Locally I have served on the Great Plains chapter as the Technical Committee Chair and currently serve as the Treasure. I am a huge proponent of training and look forward to working with both the local and national NEBB boards/committees. Building Automation System design, programming, & installation. Worked with LON, BACnet, Modbus, N2, Andover Infinity, etc...Tridium Niagara AX application and driver development using java. Worked on various software drivers and appliances for a wide array of OEM clients.System Commissioning experience ranges from commercial to mission critical facilities. Experience includes electrical distribution systems (UPS, Generators, Switchgear, etc...), mechanical systems (Chilled water systems, air handling units, pumps, etc...), Building Auatomation Systems (ALC, Andover, Trane, Invensys, JCI, etc...).Contributing Author for two books on the subject of Web Based Building Automation Systems.MEP engineering design experience with a focus on control systems.Specialties: Employee management, system troubleshooting, automation systems both DDC & PLC, software development in java, visual studio, XML, javascript.
