In this capacity, I worked to move applications away from EC2 and onto AWS managed services as much as possible, utilizing S3, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SES, SQS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Elasticache and other AWS services, with the ultimate goal of moving the platform to a serverless architecture in AWS. Additionally, I took the organization from a completely manual build and release process into a true CI/CD system utilizing VSTS to automatically build and deploy code to multiple environments on a variety of infrastructure platforms, including EC2, S3, Lambda and ECS. I also helped guide and build the devops skills of the entire development team, empowering them to be their own devops.
