A Crayola Drafting set + determination is the foundation on which my career was built. I set my sights on pursuing architecture in 5th grade and never looked back.As an architect my aim is to harness the power of architectural design to improve the quality of everyday life for everyday individuals – whether that be living life more fully or working more efficiently – meaningful, measurable impact on communities and people’s lives is always my goal.I’m continuously fascinated by the relationship between architecture and communities, and I’m passionate about rethinking the way these two entities interact. How can we create better connections in public places? How can internal and external spaces better flow together? How can architecture positively influence the way individual spaces are utilized? I’ve explored these questions on every project I’ve managed in my twenty-year career, from redesigning educational buildings to renovating historical structures.Architectural design is a way of thinking. It can uncover opportunities and drive purposeful change. My goal is to deliver sustainable designs that inspire, connect and perform, whether the project is residential, commercial or educational.Over the years, I’ve gained extensive expertise through a wide variety of projects ranging from ground-floor design concepts to the final stages of construction – leading multi-discipline teams along the way to achieve each client’s individual goals. Working in a variety of firm sizes and specialties have impacted my breadth of knowledge in the field of architecture and have allowed me to see projects from every angle without being pigeonholed into one line of work.I listen to my clients and discuss their projects without isolating them by “archsplaining” in technical terms.
