Responsible for establishing the corporate information systems strategy and the overall technology infrastructure and architecture deployed throughout the organization. Also responsible for directing and over-seeing application development, business process reengineering, network design, outsourcing, and information systems project management activities. As a key member of Duravant’s management team, the Director of IS will partner with the various business leaders to ensure alignment between the information systems and business strategies. Key initiatives include leading efforts to establish the three year IT/IS Strategy for the Global organization as well as establish the overall IT Organizational Structure.

Manage IT/IS operations and employees at Marlen and work to grow the business through use of technology.

Primary admin for many critical business applications at Marlen, including Syteline ERP, Metafile document management system, helpdesk ticketing system, Cognos BI, and Invee Asset Mangement. I am also the point person for website maintenance and design.Since starting at Marlen in 2010, I have maintained an uptime of over 99% in the Syteline ERP application, our central system. I have also designed internal corporate Intranet site for Marlen International. This includes an employee directory, news section, documentation, and a web forms application. This intranet also provides a single place to launch any private cloud application supported by Marlen.I have led a project team to implement Cognos BI and design reporting requirements associated with it.One of the most interesting things I have done is design, build, and implement a data warehouse. This solution centralized several disparate systems for reporting including two different ERP databases, an IT asset management system, and web statistics.
