Since an early age, I have an inclination towards humanistic studies. I’ve always believed self discovery and independent thinking are key components to one’s life. They have led me to find my deep interests towards poetry, philosophy, history and political science.I have participated in various Hindi and English debates, Model United Nations Conferences and Film-Making competitions over the years and have earned many accolades in these fields. I’m serving as the President of both, English and Hindi Debating Society in Welham Boys’ School. Being a bilingual debater, I have realised that along with a grip on a globally recognised language such as English, it is important to embrace the tongue of your land.The power of the pen has always been my medium for self discovery. Writing and poetry have build my character over the years. Being a writer, I’m currently serving as the senior editor of multiple magazines in school such as - The Oliphant, Politicia, Innoventure, Sankalp. Fuelled by creativity, I also serve as the scriptwriter for the Audio-Visual production of the school - Welham Newz.Being in a boarding school, I’ve developed multiple skills as an independent thinker such as leadership and team management. I’ve held multiple roles of leadership over the years in school and serving as the School Captain of Welham Boys’ School. The student government in Welham is chosen through an electoral system.I’m a follower of the Chanakyan school of thought and hold a deep interest in Indian political and legal system. Having strong roots in my culture, I believe the modern Indian society should be an amalgamation of culture and progressive thought, for a tree only stands tall if it is deeply rooted.
