Worked closely with IT leadership to establish and manage relationships with external vendors. Established and managed vendor donation program garnering partnerships with "name brand" technology vendors interested in supporting the growing mission of Teach For America. Acted as senior advisor to IT management and the Executive Operating Committee.

Hired as the first formal professional Chief Information Officer during rapid expansion of the organization and it's mission. Created a team of 150+ IT professionals to support the on-going rapid growth of this education reform NPO from 12 to 35 offices and from 500 to 1500 in staff. Worked closely with business leaders to create and manage a rigorous annual strategic planning process including the development and management of a large annual capital and operating budget. Introduced various strategic IT initiatives including: IT planning, IT policies, mobile computing, video conferencing, VOIP, relational database technology, data management, MDM and governance. Replaced outdated business technology through the implementation of SaaS applications –Workday ERP, SFDC, Taleo, etc. Oversaw the development and implementation of a unique to the industry extranet used by staff and external teachers, utilizing IBM applications and with the support of IBM. Introduced and managed a donor grant program for IT vendors to support Teach For America's mission.

Assisted financial services organizations in organizational development, recruiting and team building.

Responsible for developing strategic technology planning and the delivery of critical processes for the largest business within this diversified financial services group.

Instrumental in the planning and development of a technologically advanced trade order management system and a groundbreaking email compliance system addressing critical business issues within the financial services sector. To support these efforts, I developed and oversaw a staffing and consulting business for clients in this sector, which involved overseeing all operations: sales and marketing, client services, accounting, budgeting, human resources - including talent acquisition - benefits - employee relations, etc., project management and contract negotiations, strategic business planning, software development and deployment, as well as the creation and implementation of operating policies and procedures.

Developed and implemented an annual strategic business and technology planning process for this privately held buy-side investment firm. During a time of rapid growth, grew the technology team from 9 to over 200 in staff as the coerporation grew from 250 to over 1500 in staff, and introduced significant new technologies to support the growth of new products and additional client base.
