I started working on computers in 1984 when personal computers were still relatively new devices and modems were the means to remote access. I joined IBM x86 team in 1995 and remained there until the division was sold to Lenovo in October 2014. With 20 years of experience, I've worked at nearly every level of storage hardware introduction to include to support, engineering and new product development. I've worked directly with customers on diverse issues and I can bring that experience forward to new solutions and products. In today's era of innovation coming from all directions, the data center is changing, but how do you sort through the edge technology to find the components that provide stability, reliability, performance, manageability with the right feature set? In my previous roles, I worked with a variety of leading vendors in enterprise storage technology and learned the right questions to ask and how to properly evaluate each of these attributes.Professional Experience:• Enterprise PCIe Flash Storage Solutions based on Fusion-io/SanDisk and many others.• Enterprise Memory-Channel-Storage Devices, eXFlash DDR3 Storage DIMM.• Enterprise Storage RAID Technologies based on LSI, PMC/Adaptec RAID stacks.• General server expertise with advanced knowledge and skills on nearly every subsystem.• IOP & IOC RAID Adapters or ROMB, and Driver-based RAID and OS-based RAID.• Storage Devices Based on PCIe, SCSI, SAS, SATA, Fibre Channel, NAS.• Storage subsystem software integration development and test planning/execution.• Network Operating systems: Windows and Linux (RHEL, SLES, Debian distro's, +), installation, configuration, testing, Bash and Powershell scripting and debug.• Lecroy Protocol and Logic Analyzers.• Technical Author/Writer/Trainer.
