As the Delaware Treasurer and the state's Chief Financial Officer since 2019, I oversee the state's cash management, investments, bond issuance, state employee retirement and financial policies. I have a certification in Public Finance from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and a Master of Science in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia University. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Philadelphia University, which gives me a unique perspective on the intersection of public finance, healthcare, and biologics.In my role, I serve on various boards and committees that shape the state's economic, financial, and healthcare outcomes. I revised the investment methodology for the Delaware Cash Management Policy Board, resulting in a 300% increase in returns within the first six months in the role. I also supported the state in maintaining its AAA bond rating despite recent economic challenges. Additionally, I was appointed by the Governor to the State Retiree Benefits Task Force developing strategy on the sustainability of the state's retirement fund. I was also appointed to the advisory board for the MSRB, where I contribute to enhancing the transparency and technology of EMMA, the municipal securities systems. My mission is to improve the quality of life and fiscal stability for the residents of Delaware, using my diverse and interdisciplinary expertise.
