Capital & Main is an award-winning online publication based in Los Angeles that reports on economic, social and racial inequality in California and beyond. Our mission is to expose the economic challenges facing the poor, the working class and the middle class, along with solutions that can improve conditions for these groups, with a primary emphasis on California. Mexico City

I work with a great group of Mexican activists, id-ing the most vulnerable immigrants and helping them obtain medical care, food, housing and asylum in Mexico. I fundraise in the US to support this work, and when in Mexico, where I spend at least half the year, I work at their refugee house in Mexico City, teaching, cooking, working with kids or whatever is needed

Trebor Healey was awarded a Lambda Literary Award in 2013 and has received two Publishing Triangle Ferro-Grumley fiction awards and a Violet Quill award. He is the author of the novels A Horse Named Sorrow, Faun and Through It Came Bright Colors, as well as a collection of poems, Sweet Son of Pan, and a story collection, A Perfect Scar & Other Stories.
