I interned with BASF Coatings from June 25th to July 20th, 2018. During my time there I was part of the Applications Processes Technology division, which was in charge of troubleshooting customer problems and developing new processes for paint application. I was tasked with optimizing a method for gravimetric determination of atomizer soiling, an important aspect of increasing efficiency in the applications department. I also received training to familiarize me with the process of applying series automotive coatings, and supported the customer teams in practical terms.
