I worked in Zara part-time whilst studying and it was a tremendously rewarding few years that saw me meeting many different people from around the world as well as vastly improving my confidence to take on high responsibility roles. I was a cross-trained cashier, meaning half of my time was spent on the till, opening and closing the tills at the beginning and end of each day, counting and banking the takings as well as being entrusted with what money entered and left the safe. The other half of my position meant being aware of current fashion trends, merchandising the product, taking care of the shop-floor, helping customers with their purchases, as well as dealing with deliveries and the organisation of the stockroom.
