I worked as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service, at all times serving and presenting beverages, quickly and efficiently. I assisted in keeping the bar and front-of-house clean and tidy at all times, including set up and shut down at end of shift. I picked shopping orders placed by customers on-line, showing excellent time management by working to tight deadlines to meet delivery times. Attention to detail was essential in picking the freshest produce and picking groceries with the longest dates. When items were not in stock, I made decisions on providing reasonable substitutes. I provided excellent customer service in store when asked for help with products or where to find certain items.

I line managed 36 Project Leaders and made myself available to them by operating an effective strategy of communication. I was responsible for developing and delivering SVB’s training programme which supported both Project Leaders and volunteers and I established a Project Leader training course to help prepare co-ordinators for their roles. I supported Project Leaders to deliver inductions for their new volunteers and I ensured all volunteers attended Health and Safety sessions and Safeguarding training where necessary. In addition, I sourced courses in additional skills such as Sign Language and Makaton where required. I updated and amended risk assessments for projects as required as well as wrote risk assessments for larger events run by the department. I also oversaw SVB’s departmental budget and the individual budget of each project.

Ability to work unsupervised in the bar area, ensuring that bar stocks and cash drawer remain secure during opening hours.

Programmed Welsh language subtitles for the hard of hearing and advanced Welsh learners for television shows aired on S4/C such as Pobol y Cwm, Rownd a Rownd, Cefn Gwlad and O'r Galon. Worked as part of a team and met daily airing deadlines.
