I'm an architect and glass designer with over 15 years of experience, living in São Paulo. I’m the founder and director of the Treivas Bureau (formerly FORM Bureau), an award-winning multidisciplinary architectural firm operating at the intersection of architecture, design, and art.Raised in a family of architects, I was always surrounded by a creative environment, with access to essential architectural knowledge and ideas. When the time came to choose a career, studying at the Moscow Architectural Institute was a natural choice.After graduating with an architecture diploma in 2007, I began my professional journey by joining the team that worked on the Museum of Modern Art project and the Kandinsky Prize exposition.In 2009, I founded the Treivas Architecture Bureau, aiming to work independently as an architect and artist while building my own team. Today, we are proud of having in our portfolio projects like a collaboration with Rem Koolhaas' OMA Bureau, the architecture design for Marina Abramović’s and John Baldessari’s retrospectives, the Russian Avant-Garde Collection at the Zaha Hadid-designed Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre in Baku, and others.As an artist, I have participated in Berengo Studio artists’ residence in Venice, and my artworks have been featured at the Venice Biennale, the Design Museum in London, the Mercosul Biennial in Porto Alegre, Brazil, the Fondazione Berengo Art Space, and the MADE Design Fair in São Paulo. I see architecture and design as an exciting journey that should evoke profound feelings and resonate deeply with those who experience it. I believe my mission is to preserve cultural heritage by blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design, celebrating the marks of time, the unevenness of craft, and the intangibility of art.
