The Library Director is responsible for all operations of the Library and its facilities, and the development and implementation of its service programs to respond effectively to the needs of the community. The Director manages all Library resources and personnel, develops and monitors the budget, oversees facilities, assists the Board of Trustees with long range planning and policy development, and plans and implements overall library goals and objectives.

Responsibilities include assisting patrons with reference questions, answering phones, and providing customer service with various technological needs. I am also the supervisor of the building during the weekend.

I am responsible for ordering all materials relating for young adults and organizing any programs for this age group. I am responsible for the managing the staff for scheduled periods each week. I also assist patrons and staff in trouble-shooting computer issues.

Assists the Director and staff in providing the best possible library service to patrons and, in the absence of the Library Director, assumes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the town library. Work includes the supervision of all library employees, the implementation of operating procedures in accordance with professional standards of library administration, and carrying out responsibilities within policy directives of the Board of Trustees.Serves as systems coordinator for new technologies in the library, including assistance in use of software programs, web page development, and server maintenance, as well as installation and troubleshooting of equipment and peripherals.
