Documenting the plant collections at Lauritzen Gardens, through plant inventories, developing plant signage (accession & interpretive), plant database/records management, data collection, overseeing phenology projects, plant identification, and various other plant nerd tasks. Assisting with on-site prescribed burns as a management tool for natural areas. I also guide garden tours throughout the year.

Developed educational programming to prevent lead poisoning in children for families affected by lead soil contamination issues prevalent in areas near downtown Omaha. Created partnerships with Habitat for Humanity and local neighborhood associations to educate families living in areas with lead soil contamination on how to prevent lead poisoning in and around their homes. Developed sustainable, low cost landscape solutions to eliminate bare soil areas in yards. I also coordinated and edited the publication of a best practices paper about preventing lead poisoning.
