Non Executive DirectorWa Motor Industry Foundation Mar 2008 - Sep 2011Perth, AustraliaThe primary focus of the Motor Industry Foundation is to make a difference to people who need assistance the most; that is those families and individuals who have a child or children suffering from a severe disability and who, without the Foundation’s assistance, would not have the benefit of mobility. The Foundation provides suitable vehicles (such as fully equipped Toyota Commuter Buses fitted with wheel chair hoists) to families who, without that assistance, would struggle to take their child or children to much-needed medical and remedial care. The vehicles also allow such families to take their child or children on outings such as those that others take for granted, and in a small way this injects a degree of normality into what is usually a very stressful life for the family concerned.
