Initiated the Burton product development transition from hand drawn/faxed design and development to purely digital, cutting both development time and expense and increasing quality.While at Burton, sales of softgoods increased in sales many times over resulting in the capture of more than 50% of the total worldwide snowboard apparel marketshare. Co-designed and was granted a patent for Burton’s Active Lining System, which was the technical outerwear market’s first lining system providing targeted insulative or cooling properties in an apparel system now adopted by many brands in the industry.Designed the Gore-Tex jacket that was used to create the Amp jacket, the world’s first iPod controlling wearable electronics apparel. -

Frostline Extended-Family MemberFrostline Kits Nov 1970 - Jan 1983Born into the outdoor industry, Trent’s father was one of the first employees of Frostline, one of the most important early American outdoor companies, which was a trail-blazing precursor and major influence on most of the brands available in the outdoor industry today. Created in the 1960’s from an outdoor-brand lineage reaching back to the 1920’s, Frostline was primarily a kit brand, based on the DIY spirit of the “sew it yourself” era of technical outerwear. As a part of the extended Frostline family, Trent grew up absorbing many aspects of an outdoor industry brand, and the entrepreneurial spirit needed to make things happen, which are lessons he carries to this day.
