An Oh Oat company, our philosophy is simple - make the switch to plant-based living frictionless. Our ice cream was thus created to be indistinguishable from dairy. An average rating of 4.9/5 on Google and it looks like we've achieved just that. We officially launched in November 2021 by opening an ice cream shop on Kloof Street, Cape Town. We opened to a snaking queue of over 200 people and have been going from strength to strength since.Selling well over 500kg of ice cream in our first month, we've grown in heaps and bounds and are currently entering the retail arena.

Oh Oat is a food tech company. We create products better than dairy to replace dairy. Our vision is to eliminate animals from the dairy equation completely and completely disrupt our broken food system.We believe in the potential and necessity of a world switching to plant-based living. Starting Oh Oat was informed and driven by this belief. We want to change the world. Our heart and soul goes into our little company. We celebrate every litre of dairy we replace because we know it’s 1000 litres of water saved, 2kg of carbon emissions offset and a moment of advocacy against climate change and animal agriculture.Armed with a 10L pot and a few DIY utensils It took us two years to develop our oat milk IP, testament to our complete lack of experience in food manufacturing and our fortitude in finishing what we start. We turned a profit just 14-months after launching to market and have grown our little team to 15 people, supporting their families and livelihoods - our proudest achievement to date.

Between 2014 and 2016, I founded, developed and managed my own globally successful business, which I subsequently sold for a profit. My main duties included, but were not limited to, business organization and development, executive strategizing and decision-making, developing and managing business relationships, meeting and corresponding with stockists, distributors and suppliers, and overseeing marketing, branding, copywriting and drafting of advertisement material.
