Currently the Head Football Coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.Formerly, the Head Football Coach at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, TN. The Mustangs went 44-10 in 4 seasons after going 3-19 the two years prior to Coach Dilfer's arrival. They won the 2021 and 2022 TSSAA D2-AA State Championships beating their archival Christ Presbyterian 27-0 in 2021 and 42-0 in 2022. They have earned back to back TSSAA All Academic honors for teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and above. Through their Transformational Fields initiative the Mustangs have donated over 600 hours of field time to youth groups in Middle Tennessee. The Super Bowl-winning quarterback was an analyst for a variety of ESPN programs ranging from Monday Night Countdown to NFL PrimeTime. He was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award in 2012. He continues to have a presence in the sports media world with weekly hits on The Herd, The Russillo show and various radio shows across the country. His podcast Beyond the X's and O's cracked the Apple Top 10 Podcast list multiple times in it's first year of existence with interviews on the journeys of Hall of Fame Quarterbacks, NFL Quarterbacks and current College Head Coaches. Head Coach of Elite 11 and Elite 11 Academy, in this role Trent has become a role model, mentor, and coach for upcoming High School Quarterbacks.
