Trent England is the founder and executive director of Save Our States, a non-partisan national organization that defends the Electoral College. He is also the David and Ann Brown Distinguished Fellow at the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs (OCPA), where he earlier served as executive vice president. For three years Trent hosted morning drive-time radio in Oklahoma City, and he has guest hosted for several other radio shows. Trent previously worked at the Freedom Foundation in Olympia, Washington, in many capacities, including as executive vice president and interim CEO. He was a candidate for the Republican nomination for a seat in the Washington State House of Representatives in 2006. He earlier served as a legal policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation, where he focused on criminal law, constitutional issues, and judicial nominations. Prior to that he was the vice president of a small issues-lobbying organization and an opposition researcher for a national campaign committee, both in Washington, DC.Trent is the author of Why We Must Defend the Electoral College (2020, Encounter Books) and contributed chapters to One Nation Under Arrest (2010, The Heritage Foundation) and The Heritage Guide to the Constitution (2005, Regnery). Trent's writing has appeared in the USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Oklahoman, and many other newspapers. Trent earned a law degree from The George Mason University School of Law (now the Antonin Scalia Law School) and a bachelor of arts in government from Claremont McKenna College. In 2008, he was a Publius Fellow of the Claremont Institute. He lives with his wife and their three children in Oklahoma City.
