As Project Engineer, I was a "Site Lead" for two pump stations involved in the installation of a new pipeline. I evaluated locations along the pipeline that would be suitable for the stations, and provided recommendations to the client. I was responsible for the mechanical design portion of the station, which involved routing of pipes, specification of equipment and materials, creating P&IDs, cross-checking plans and sections with physical models and P&IDs, and verification of BOMs for the project. Other project responsibilities included overseeing the integration of the electrical, civil, and structural designs for the two stations. This involved reviewing drawings, and ensuring all information across all disciplines was consistent and correct.As Project Engineer, I was responsible for the design of a hydrocarbon storage and injection facility for a pipeline. I developed the initial P&IDs and facility layout, and then was responsible for overseeing all aspects of design, and ensuring all disciplines are working together with the latest information. I reviewed drawings across all disciplines in order to ensure consistent and accurate information was used. During the construction phase of the project, I am responsible for answering contractor questions from the field, reviewing hydrotest documentation and continual QA/QC of all drawings. I worked closely with the client on design reviews, equipment specification, and general development of the project. I created a cost estimate, continually updated it through the project, and provided support in staff coordination for the design phase.

I managed a project which included installing 15 miles of oil and gas pipelines, and installing a compressor station. This involved managing the budget, schedule, delivery of materials, and invoice payments. I also oversaw the electrical and structural design teams, oversaw construction and commissioning of the facility, and reviewed DOT documentation for the pipeline. I identified areas of a gas gathering system the required maintenance or upgrades and created bid packages for the work to be done, which included cost estimates, equipment specifications, and proposed schedules. I reviewed contractor bids, provided recommendations to management, and oversaw construction of the projects. This included scheduling, budgeting, invoice approvals, and start-up and commission of the projects.I created turn-over packages for well connect pipelines, and smaller field projects that did not require contractor bids. These packages included sketches of work to be done, cost estimates, and schedule.

I performed calculations for sizing pumps, air coolers, gas compressors, Pressure Safety Valves, and pipe sizes in natural gas compressor and processing facilities. I created and modified Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, specifications for equipment, and equipment packages for quote. I worked with piping designers to run the required steel pipes throughout the facility. I also worked closely with the clients on determining equipment needs, process conditions, equipment specification, and project scheduling.When applicable, I would create and maintain HYSYS models for projects being engineered, which would include sizing for compressors, air coolers, and piping.

I developed piping specifications for a new client, utilizing various sources, including existing specifications, industry standards, and manufacturer information. I developed crossing matrices for new pipeline projects, reviewed and redlined alignment sheets for both new and existing pipelines, and reviewed new proposed pipeline routes to help identify physical or social obstacles.
