Founder and Tech guy for PlayAR, an augmented reality sports app. PlayAR was a spin off software development that launched after an idea that I pitched at a startup weekend in Perth. Despite some great discussions with the likes of Seven West Media, Telstra, the AFL and various teams / organisations in the US we couldn't sell through the highly regulated sports environment for the AFL and the US sports environment was a little far out of reach after we visited the states a couple of times. It was a great experiment and an excellent learning journey that I shared with my amazing co-founders Rob and Brack.

I was contracted on a short term basis to re-develop outdated documentation into a full suite of ITIL compliant knowledge base articles and supporting process for the handling of security incidents on the Defence Information Environment.

Reporting directly to the CEO, I was responsible for program management of all projects being undertaken. This responsibility included development of business strategy, business analysis, financial plans / budgets, and operational management. Projects included:• Operational & Billing support systems based on Dynamics CRM and custom Microsoft .NET developments.• NBN Satellite Service Establishment• Internal QMS development based on Microsoft Sharepoint• Retail Website, including e-commerce & customer portal• 3G service establishment• Development of project management process and procedures using Microsoft Team Foundation Server and Project ServerIn addition to the above primary responsibility I assisted the sales and professional service areas of areas of the business in complex solution development and tender responses.

Reporting to the CEO I was responsible for developing new and innovative products whilst controlling the level of risk posed to the business. I was required to co-ordinate product launches across marketing, logistics, finance, operations and external vendors / service providers.I managed the international import of more than $1M of stock in the company’s first month of operation and subsequently managed the implementation of ERP systems and the outsourcing of logistics capability which included full electronic integration.I launched the companies 2G and mobile satellite voice / data offerings managing pricing, development of marketing material, international roaming, interconnection and legal interception.I established processes and procedures for the department in support of ISO 9001 quality endorsement.

Diverse experience in Navy as an officer who took a unique career path, dual specialising in Weapons Electrical Engineering and Operations, as such, during my time in Navy I have worked in Engineering, Project management, and Operational roles. My career highlights in Navy include the following:• Completed Submarine Warfare Offices Course (SMWOC) obtaining Dux and being awarded the warfare officers sword.• Completed Intermediate Navigation Course obtaining Dux.• Completed Submarine Sea Qualification (SMSQ).• Bridge Warfare Certificate (BWC).• Completed Weapons Electrical Engineering Application Course (WEAC) and became one of the first in my course to achieve my Certificate of Competence (CC).My last role as an operations specialist was a role that required leading diverse teams to meet challenging operational objectives. The focus of this role was above all safety of personnel under my command and of the platform, including all the technical sub systems, that I was responsible for.
