I began this tenure as President and COO, partnering with the CEO to develop company vision and business strategy, plan for the future, raise funds, establish key policies and manage performance. Eventually, I became President and CEO and then oversaw all aspects of this distributorship and Safeguard franchise. I led a team of cross-functional executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance) to optimize employee engagement, performance, processes and offerings. We expanded the business through investments, acquisitions and strategic partnerships. I ensured legal and companywide compliance, business ethics and personally managed partner, stakeholder and vendor relationships in a manner that fostered clear communication, alignment and mutual profitability.Most notably, I:• Led the successful transition of the company into the Safeguard franchise and brand.• Modeled and encouraged employees to maintain a consistent awareness of market dynamics, trends and customer needs.• Reviewed and analyzed company metrics and challenges and devised solutions that improved revenue, margin, business sustainability and market share growth.• Directed multiple technology upgrades and ERP software selection and implementation projects.• Developed a Warehouse Management system that interfaces with the company’s ERP. Based on its benefits and value to the organization, this system has been sold several times to other distributors.• Infused innovation and creativity into the business that cultivated Top Design Awards from PSDA and BFL&S.

I progressed my career from a Graphic Designer role within a very manually run company to a General Manager position within a technology supported organization. I helped build IBF into a market leader that appealed to Safeguard’s business model and created compelling collateral for customers along the way.
