• Work one-on-one and in groups with a variety of developmentally challenged individuals at their job sites to oversee their day-to-day work activities ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.• Prepare weekly and monthly client reports recommending best practices and strategies to help individuals with disabilities succeed at work, which resulted in an increase of developmentally challenged workers’ ability to complete tasks without assistance at 70 to 90 percent.• Designed and facilitated more than 40 career-readiness training courses, including lesson plans and activities, for 50+ summer youth workers with/without learning disabilities. • Assemble and update over 50 client portfolios in database according to the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards. • Create scenario-based learning opportunities appropriate for transitional youth including those with individual education plans and other environmental challenges, which resulted in 100 percent completion of the Department of Employment Services (DOES) life skills and career- readiness training programs.• Serve as an advocate for clients at employer sites via drop in as needed.

• Provided ongoing intake services and successfully recruited more than 600 applicants from diverse populations in Arlington and Fairfax County areas to enroll in free Career Navigation and Security training programs resulting in 85 percent job placement rate.• Developed an ongoing strategy to market and promote GGW’s Workforce Development and ACC services via bi-weekly email communications, attendance at job, resource, and community fairs, meetings and ongoing relationships with case managers and counselors at one-stop centers, homeless shelters and other workforce development personnel resulting in increased awareness.• Assessed skills to determine applicant’s eligibility for training programs and referred 10 percent of applicants to other community programs who were ineligible.• Coordinating training efforts to facilitate a three-week Career Navigation class focusing on job readiness, customer service and matching personalities with career tracks in efforts of building confidence and motivation for unemployed and underemployed participants.

• Determined eligibility for airspace waiver flights to and from the United States, and the Washington, DC Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ) through analysis of general aviation security-based questions and online applications. • Collaborated with Investigative Unit to perform criminal background investigations of aircraft pilots, crew and passengers.• Fielded questions about changes in the FAA FDC, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs).• Tracked status and conducted quality assurance for airspace waivers to submit to FAA for final authorization.• Trained new hires on office and airspace waiver processes.• Researched, inputted and maintained consistent and accurate information in project database consisting of over 1,000 pilots.

• Designed and facilitated specialized workshops for more than 120,000 unemployed or underemployed clients with successful rating of 95%; workshops included Orientation, Résumé/Cover Letter, Interviewing Skills, Staying Positive, Financial Management, and Job Searching Techniques; also conducted abbreviated versions of these courses at several local high schools.• Marketed and referred clients for community-based and agency programs with a 75% success rate of interest.
