While managing 25 team members I was able to build new displays to enhance visual appeal to high margin categories. I also worked with my regional manager to change the layout of the store. This put different categories together, like women's casual with children shoes, which were our best categories. Increase of 30%. Changed the location of several top selling categories to ensure the entire store was shopped. Brought accessories into the aisles for add on sales. Also introduced "item of the month," at the register to boost average basket. As a result of changing the layout of the store shrink in several categories fell by almost 40%

I was brought on to build on the existing local customer base, increase sales with new idea's and merchandising. Through training, role play and hands on leadership, I was able to increase Customer Service and Mystery Shop scores to an average of 90%, creating a better guest experience.On the Merchandising side, I was able to increase special categories within the store 35-40%.by moving product to different areas of the store or cross merchandising items together to "up the average basket dollars." I also worked with regional staff to expand new and hot items.

I was hired to ensure a great guest experience while raising profit and reducing shrink. Throughout my career at Bed Bath & Beyond I have held several key positions such as Front End Manager, Department Manager Sales Floor, Loss Prevention and HBC (store with in a store) Manager. As a Front End I was able train all employees through role play on proper "Greet and Engage," techniques. When processing a return turn it into a sale or upgrade. I changed the layout of the front to include a theme with related product from all over the store. While I was in HBC i was able to put together a College "Back to Campus List," as well as cross merchandise product in other ares of the store to increase sales by 17%. While in Loss Prevention I was able to institute new "Best Practices" policy by changing how, where and the number of products on the sales floor. We saw significant drops in four categories.
