As a highly skilled professional with experience in providing litigation support services, I possess a breadth of knowledge pertaining to financial analysis and investigations. I am adept at performing detailed financial analysis that leads to actionable insights for legal teams in complex litigation cases. I am experienced in evaluating legal and financial documentation, financial modelling, forecasting, tracing and characterization of assets, preparation of reports and supporting documents, and conducting thorough research.

As a Forensic, Litigation, and Valuation Services Associate, I have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of cases in a litigation support context. In Austin, I work on a team that works heavily with attorneys in the family law arena, primarily in providing support as experts in business valuations and asset tracing and characterization. Additionally, our work includes forensic accounting, financial statement modeling and forecasting, damages calculations, and other litigation support services. I work jointly with the Whitley Penn office in Houston as well, performing work related to intellectual property. We determine damages resulting from patent infringement, shareholder/partner disputes, business interruption, contract/transaction disputes, theft of trade secrets, and other similar matters.

It was my role within the Student Managed Investment Fund to conduct thorough analysis of my industry and gain an understanding of how it is impacted by various economic and market factors. I utilized Bloomberg Professional Services Terminal software to conduct research and analysis of the industry as a whole and of companies within the industry. I worked with a team of students to determine how the portfolio should be allocated, what market trends might impact the current and proposed portfolio, and how well the portfolio will perform based on recommendations.

As a tutor, it was my responsibility to help my students understand their course material. I met with them regularly to discuss assignments, help them prepare for quizzes and exams, and provide academic support. When discussing assignments, we often worked through practice problems that allow them to better grasp course concepts. In preparation for quizzes and exams, we would often go through preparation strategies that helped them perform well. I provided academic support by helping with organization, class awareness, and overall preparedness as a student.

In my time at Gary Bowers & Miller, I was primarily responsible for the integrity of personal, S-corp., and trust/estate tax returns. I utilized Intuit Tax and Practice Management software to complete these returns and ensure proper recording in our system. I communicated with the tax preparer and the partner in charge when issues arose on returns. Additionally, I completed some proofing work on local financial statement audits to help ensure the integrity of the audit.

As a Student Assistant for University Student Housing, I worked to provide a safe, positive, and engaging environment for students who live in Coleman Hall. My duties included: accounting for cash kept at the front desk, working with a database system to check-in and distribute packages to residents, and issuing keys to residents who had locked themselves out of their rooms. I was responsible for maintaining an open line of communication with other student- and pro-staff members, ensuring the safety of residents and security of the residence hall facility, and working on administrative tasks that allowed for smooth operation of the residence hall.

As a member of the Red Raider Orientation Crew, I was given the opportunity to welcome incoming students to Texas Tech. This team was responsible for facilitating the transition of over 6,000 new students into the university. While on the Crew, I strengthened my communication skills through more than thirty presentations about student life, campus traditions, available services, and financial aid/awards. I developed strong leadership skills through the opportunities I was provided such as: guiding campus tours, conducting peer-to-peer college information sessions, answering parent/student questions, and networking with students as I worked to connect with them. Additionally, I learned the importance of being adaptable and action-oriented throughout the summer when unforeseen circumstances arose.
