River Guide And Trip Leader
Current-Monitor clients' activities to ensure compliance with National Park Service regulations and ensuresafety and well-being of river trip participants.-Assemble and check the required supplies and equipment prior to departure, including provisionsfor up to two weeks away from civilization.-Provide for physical safety of groups, performing such activities as providing first aid, swift waterrescue and directing emergency evacuations.-Research of various topics associated with Grand Canyon, including site history, environmentalconditions, and clients' skills and abilities to plan appropriate expeditions, instruction, andcommentary.-Train other guides and volunteers.-Select travel routes and sites to be visited based on knowledge of specific areas.-Provide information about geology, wildlife varieties and habitats, indigenous peoples, early riverrunner history.
