Growing up I always enjoyed and lived for sports. I played football, baseball and I wrestled, I enjoyed participating in sports and still do to this day. When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for a living while in high school an easy transition for me was a physical therapist. Still get to use exercise but in a way to help people and that really interested me. It turns out my freshman year of college I changed my mind because I loved learning about the heart, I knew I wanted to do something with the heart. My focus shifted to exercise physiology, more specifically in cardiac rehab, unfortunately that is not something that will go away anytime soon so there is a massive need for exercise physiologists, and it combined my life long passion of exercise and wellness with my academic passion of the cardiovascular system. As I have continued in my career I found that what I like doing most was helping people and I felt like the best way I could do that is to work as a leader in healthcare. I can change the lives of my employees but can also make improvements to care that the patients that we serve and really improve the lives of everyone that I come in contact with and I now know that as always been my dream and goal in life.
