I am currently Principal of Whitefield School which is part of the Flourish Learning Trust. I am honoured to be leading one of the largest special schools in Europe with over 370 students.I was appointed Principal of BBIH in September 2019. We achieved 100% progression for all our students and an Ofsted rating of Good in December 2019. Our attendance is equal to mainstream provision and all our students achieve nationally recognised qualifications including GCSE Maths and English, with outcomes well above national AP average.Prior to joining, I led the TBAP 16-19 AP Academy through its first Ofsted inspection in June 2019 and achieved a Good rating. The School recruited students who had previously been excluded, with little or no GCSEs, and helped progress them into university. I was there for three academic years and averaged over 90% of students successfully progressing into university. I have extensive experience of the post-16 sector and have worked at institutions such as Newham College, BSix Sixth Form College, Lewisham and Southwark College and conducted research projects for the Institute of Education.
