As Director of Freedom 4x4, I work with customers who seek adventure, love the outdoor camping experience and those who are passionate about their 4x4 and want to get the most out of it. As Head of ICT and member of the Executive Management Team, I managed operational ICT and data provision in this 24/6 environment, led an ICT team and a budget of £1.5m. I reported our capability to key stakeholders, the contract authority and responded to parliamentary questions. Serco Court Escort and Custody Services is a £60m annual contract with 1400 staff and 200 vehicles providing secure prisoner transport and staffing in cells and court docks across 104 locations in the South East and London. Subject to external media scrutiny, legal regulations and contractual obligations, this was a highly accountable and visible organisation which demanded the best from its staff. ♦ Highlights included: Built, managed and developed a dedicated ICT team who delivered results on time and where needed in the business to enable maximum operational efficiency. I increased the teams impact through coaching and putting them through the ITIL Foundation Course. Transformed the technical capability through resolving key ICT issues, introducing a new centralised system, initiating and delivering a business continuity strategy and training all 1400 staff in the new system. As IT Manager, I managed a $2.1m budget and achievements included; reduced operating costs through bringing some ICT contracts back in-house; increased end-user satisfaction from 55%>91%; re-negotiated supplier costs; project managed the refresh of hardware and managed the office relocation in Dublin.

OHSS delivered IT infrastructure across 22 non-acute medical sites including hospitals, health centres, dental surgeries and mental health services. As ICT Manager I rationalised technology to Dell and Cisco, reduced infrastructure costs through switching circuits; project planned the migration of all servers to Active Directory and project managed the county wide WAN upgrade.

This housing association provides rental housing for public sector workers, immigrants and the elderly. As Network Analyst I defined IT standards, HR policies and processes and designed and introduced the new helpdesk using Sunrise with Outlook.

I was a member of the global NT team, defining and implementing standard procedures and infrastructure across this 300 user, 3 site organisation. I planned and implemented the migration of company network from Novell the NT and project managed the office and warehouse relocation.
