Each spring, BIOLA University hosts the largest student run missions conference in the United States. The event takes place over three days with seven main sessions and four seminar blocks that are attended by thousands of students, parents and alumni. As a sessions coordinator, I work with my partner to hire and train 15 staff members, research and invite speakers and performing artists, design a stage backdrop, and ensure all events run smoothly.

In this position I lead a dormitory floor of 28 men. I received and utilized training in leadership and conflict resolution throughout a year in this position. I was responsible for personally planning and executing six events including overnight camping trips, question and answer talks with university professors, and cultural explorations. During this time I also worked in a team of four other members to plan large events and continue developing our skills.

I researched leads for business to business partnerships in the United States from the Ecuador company headquarters, and made contact over the phone. Further contact was often facilitated using e-mail to propose rates and features. In the office, only one of the other employees spoke English while the rest spoke Spanish.

Included compiling various office documents and performing office tasks both online and in print. Such as database management, answering phones, responding to emails and sending invoices. This role included reporting progress to program leaders.
