I have been involved in IT and technology solutions for the travel industry for over 36 years – designing and implementing one of the first and innovative tour operator systems in the early 1980’s.I am a qualified accountant and set up TAS – a company supplying solutions for the travel industry in 1981.Over the years I have been involved in helping and assisting hundreds of tour operators and travel agents – often acting as a consultant to them on many travel accounting related issues.TAS’s main area of business is specialist/niche tour operators although we do also support corporate and retail travel agencies.The innovation of our main product topicplus+ (reservation, booking, administration, accounting) system is accomplished through continuous effective product development, additional market lead processes and services using the latest and future proof new technologies available.Our topicplus+ system is used by many small to medium specialist tour operators and covers complex tailor-made arrangements, package tours, flight only, rail and cruise operators – for on-line, in-house and call centre bookings.It is a browser/hosted system which can be accessed and used anywhere worldwide where there is internet available.Although topicplus+ is supplied as a complete and easy to implement flexible packaged and user friendly solution we can modify and develop to whatever requirements the client/travel company requires.’
