Trevor McGuire is the founder and CEO of SingSnap.com, a popular online karaoke community that focuses its activities and service offerings around the joy of singing. The site has a wide variety of singers from experienced to novice and a broad range of demographics in its customer base. According to Trevor McGuire, many of those on the site have been assisted in their lives by the novel vocal experience as well as the social aspect that the site offers. Trevor is a highly qualified Electronics Engineering Technician who was educated at Algonquin College and the University of Ottawa where he received his Masters of Business Administration. Trevor McGuire’s work experience includes seven years at Corel Corporation as the General Manager reporting to the CEO. During his tenure the company’s revenues grew dramatically from US$7M to $200M and the employee strength from 20 to 400. His role also included all elements of strategic management, including product development, distribution and marketing as well as corporate management and acquisitions. Trevor McGuire also played an active role in Corel’s initial public stock offerings. After leaving Corel, McGuire then founded Vorton Technologies Inc. in 1996 and invested significant personal funds in the development and successful launch of a cutting edge line of consumer software products in the Financial Tools and Digital Imaging category. In 1998, McGuire expanded Vorton Technologies Inc. (renamed Eatsleepmusic Corporation) through the acquisition of Tune 1000 Inc. a world-wide renowned company engaged in the music field.
